2017 has been a big year for me! The transformation of my body has been well planned and dreamt of over decades. Finally all of my personal situations had re-positioned to allow my plan of sexual reassignment surgery (SRS) from male to female become a reality. The physical changes after surgery to my body in many ways were not surprising because I would wake up picturing what I should look like each morning and then be horrified to see the reality of male genitalia. Now I wake up to see what I always imagined to be the natural me. If I wasn’t certain before (I was certain) then this confirmed I had made the right decision. Having said that, each time I see my body in the mirror I am thrilled as my newly enhanced breasts naturally emphasise my body and give the illusion of a narrower waistline. My body and female genitals sit perfectly with my consciousness. The scar lines are perfect and will fade and I feel the external appearance of my female genitalia are second to none.I arrived in Thailand Apr ’17 for a hair transplant operation. Whilst there I began serious investigations into who I should choose for my planned SRS. I visited three clinics. As I am a health professional myself I have a fair amount of insight into what I should be looking for. I was after excellent results, meticulous care, and honest opinions with professional guidance. I knew that when it came time for the surgery I would need a supportive team who understood what I have been through to get to the point of requiring SRS. I found the Preecha Aesthetic Institute (PAI) offered the professionalism that I sought…good
honest advice, without trying to convince me that I needed more surgery. The doctor and administrative people that helped me were knowledgeable, thorough, empathic and kind. The PAI also offered another service that ultimately convinced me I was with the right people, a concierge service. Charee was able to clarify questions that I was not able to convey to other members of the team as her grasp on the English language is excellent. Charee is very intelligent and wise, she offered clarity, honesty, and incredible knowledge about all things transgender :-). If she didn’t have the answer instantly she would seek the answer from the correct source; she has integrity that can be trusted! My experience showed that in preparation for the operations there are many questions that pop up. During the recovery time there are also many questions that I felt I could ask without feeling a pest. Charee made my life-changing journey a smooth one. The stress and anxiety of such a decision was much reduced as Charee was around. Helping with the paperwork, transporting me to the various Psychiatrists and Cardiac Doctors prior to surgery, transporting me to the hospital and the clinic from the hotel and airport; all of these things reduced the stress so that I could be at my best for the operation. Charee was able to offer well priced hotel suggestions, lovely restaurant and local eatery suggestions. Most of all she offered empathy and compassion because she has an understanding that has grown from helping many transgender folk before me. As she had this experience, non of her advice was overstated or exaggerated. This is important because you are entrusting yourself to professionals and are seeking wonderful outcomes. I am very happy and satisfied with my surgical outcomes now but post surgical swelling and inflammation had me most concerned. If it wasn’t for Charee offering matter-of-fact advice and advocacy, I would have been in deep despair. However it all turned out as she explained it would.
If I was to manage the PAI, I would want Charee employed as part of my team. Charee without you my journey would have been much harder…thank you! Going to Bangkok alone for surgery from the United States was quite scary but the minute I got off my long flight it was like seeing a sister or a best friend. From the moment that first made contact through the ‘Estetica Thailandia’ website, Charee has been very helpful, always responding promptly to enquiries and checking details with the clinic and doctors when queries were of a more specialist nature.
Charee provided support for almost a year prior to surgery, fielding questions, offering reassurance, and arranging all of the specifies of the trip. I’m very grateful that I managed to find Charee and, through her, the PAI clinic, as I fear I would probably have struggled to reach this point otherwise, and I am quite sure I would not have received the same level of help and support had I used any of the other clinics that I had been considering.
Charee provided online support right up to the day of our departure from England, and then met us as soon as we arrived at the airport and delivered us to the hotel. She accompanied me to all of my appointments, both before and after surgery, and provided reassurance prior to the meeting with the psychiatrists (about which I had been a touch worried). After surgery, Charee encouraged me to maintain contact with her and to bring any worries or problems to her so that she can reassure or ask the doctors if there are major concerns. This she has encouraged me to continue into the future once I have returned to England.
Charee has been fabulous throughout this process, even when dealing with my main queries and my lack of communication. I am very grateful to her and to all PAI staffs, and am so very pleased with the results. Thank you.

Buongiorno. Oggi sono qui a raccontare la mia storia di cambio sesso a Bangkok. Grazie a te Charee. Il mio sogno è diventato realtà. Credetemi non sapete che importanza ha prenotare l’intervento tramite Charee, lei oltre ad essere un interprete tra voi e la clinica, è un angelo. Non so cosa avrei fatto senza di lei. Mi è stata vicina su tutto. È stata il mio punto di riferimento e su ogni preoccupazione che avevo lei era sempre lì a rassicurarmi. È stata la mia seconda mamma. È stata la mia ancora di salvezza. Senza di lei non so se riuscivo a realizzare il mio sogno. Grazie Charee di tutto. Sei una persona speciale poiché dire della clinica PAI una struttura bellissima accogliente e gli infermieri dolci prudenti e molto professionali. Fin dal primo contatto Charee è stata disponibile e sempre presente.Le scrissi per avere informazioni riguardo alla clinica, alle modalità di pagamento e al tipo di operazione effettuata. Si è sempre dimostrata molto preparata e paziente, nonostante la grande mole di domande, a volte anche superflue, La risposta da parte sua è sempre stata estremamente esaustiva, ha dato importanza ad ogni mio dubbio, probabilmente conscia di quanto per me fosse tutto nuovo e inaspettato.Grazie a lei è stato possibile stabilire un ponte e organizzare il mio arrivo in Thailandia. È venuta a prendere me e mia madre personalmente in aeroporto, guidandoci nei due giorni precedenti l’operazione, aiutandomi a sostenere gli esami e spiegandomi pazientemente le procedure da seguire. È stata presente anche durante anestesia, per alleviare la mia paura prima dell’intervento e farmi sentire un ambiente sicuro e familiare, ma pazienza e preparazione le ha dimostrate ancor di più nel post-operatorio, quando sono iniziate le paure dovute alla convalescenza, ad un’esperienza nuova e aliena per me.
Ogni volta che mi è sorto un dubbio, una paura, un’ansia o qualsiasi altra inezia, è sempre stata disposta a trattare la questione con serietà, aiutandomi a guarire nel modo più sereno possibile e senza che il panico la facesse da padrone.
Grazie a lei son riuscita ad affrontare la convalescenza non solo in Thailandia, ma anche un volta tornata in italia, dato che si è resa disponibile, via chat, a continuare a rispondere alle mie domande, per rassicurarmi e accertarsi del mio stato di salute, fino ed oltre alla completa guarigione.In sintesi raccomando caldamente i servizi dell’interprete Charee, dal momento che è stata disponibile, professionale, e comprensiva nel migliore dei modi.

Charee Estetica ThailandiaEsattamente un anno fa, l'8 febbraio 2018, mi accompagnavi alle 15.00 in sala operatoria, per realizzare il mio grande sogno : diventare me stessa. Ero arrivata da sola a Bangkok. Ma all'aeroporto di Suvarnabhumi c'eri tu e c'eri tu anche in quella grande sala operatoria, a farmi compagnia. Ricordi ? Con la mascherina. Mi accompagnasti lì, come si accompagna una figlia all'altare. C'eri tu durante le visite ed i colloqui. Mi hai fatto da MAMMA, quella mamma premurosa ed accogliente di cui avevo bisogno. Sempre presente in ospedale, mi venivi a trovare anche in albergo e poi di nuovo, all'aeroporto, per quel lunghissimo viaggio di ritorno. Avevo tanta paura al ritorno, tutta quella paura che, invece, non avevo avuto prima. Mi portavi i dolci tipici thailandesi ed eri lì sempre pronta ad ascoltarmi. Sei stata preziosissima. Ti porterò sempre nel cuore Charee <3
E quasi un mese fa andavo sotto i ferri.Timori, ansie, paure, e infine il risvegliarsi e ringraziare di essere viva. Almeno per me è stato così, perché dopo che guardi qualsiasi possibile video di interventi di SRS e studi quanto più possibile la tecnica, arrivi in sala operatoria con gli occhi sgranati, dentro di me pensavo: e se iniziassero ad operarmi che sono ancora mezza sveglia? Allora sto attenta. E invece niente, mi ha preso la ridarola e mi sono addormentata al volo, per risvegliarmi con luci sfocate, personale medico che non conoscevo e poco dopo mia madre che mi stringe la mano e mi dice: è fatta. Per poi riaddormentarmi ancora con un po' di anestesia in corpo probabilmente.È dura ragazze, o almeno per me lo è stata, e ancora più duro è il post operatorio, tra dilatazioni e medicazioni, ma almeno la paura dell'intervento è passata.Credo che da parte mia oltre che ringraziare chiaramente chi mi è stato vicino, sia doveroso ringraziare una ragazza che è stata di grande aiuto per me e per mia madre, e che una volta arrivate in Thailandia più che una "assistente" o "interprete" abbiamo trovato un
amica. Per noi e per me soprattutto, trovare una persona che parlasse la mia lingua, che conoscesse le mie paure e che, oltre ad organizzare tutto, rispondeva con conoscenza del caso a ogni mio dubbio e timore, è stato fondamentale. Era lì quando sono arrivata in aeroporto, è entrata in sala operatoria con me, dopo essermi svegliata e ai miei appuntamenti con il chirurgo, era lì. Per me un servizio senza paragoni, oltre la sua umanità e disponibilità. Grazie ancora Charee!
